New News, A New Book, and New Book Signings

1/7/2023

Hi All,
I hope that 2023 has started out well for you. It surely has for me. Several bookstores have placed orders for more books because they’re running low on all four Dragons of Nibiru Series titles. A great way to start the new year!

I am busy writing book five, Dragons of the Future, and I’m having a blast. I hope to have it ready for you later this year.

In the meantime, I will be holding more book signings, so come on down to say hello if I am in your area. Here are the signings scheduled for the next few weeks:
  • Jan 21, Indigo – Kelowna, BC, 11:00 – 5:00
  • Jan 28, Coles – Vernon, BC, 11:00 – 5:00
  • Feb 11, Bookingham Palace, Salmon Arm, BC, 11:00 – 5:00
  • Feb 17, Coles, Penticton, 11:00 – 5:00
I’ll update the list as more signings are booked. I do so look forward to seeing you, and having a good chat!

In the meantime, I’d love to share some drawings from a talented young reader from Nelson, BC. I think Cameron has a terrific imagination and a fine drawing talent. Thanks for sharing these with me, Cameron! I love the colours!

I wish all of you the very best in 2023. May it be a year filled with love, happiness and joy!

We Have a Dragon Winner!

Hi All,

I am happy to let you know that our latest winner of one of my “Dragons and More Dragons” gift boxes is a delightful Kelowna resident, four-year-old AB. She filled out her own entry form and correctly spelt her name — which is quite impressive for such a young Dragon lover.

AB and her mother visited my table at the recent Kelowna Immaculata School Christmas Fair. It was special to see them out enjoying the festive day, along with so many other families.

The "Dragons and More Dragons" box AB won features the first four books in the Dragons of Nibiru Series, along with three charming dragon figurines.

Ready for a chance to win? Come on down to any of my upcoming book-signings and enter!

As you might have noticed, my book-signing calendar has been a bit empty recently. But with the new year here, it’s filling up fast with signing events in the coming months. So head back here regularly to see if there’s going to be a signing near you.

And remember: If it turns out there is no event coming to your area, you can always enter through this website. Just go to my "Contact" page and use the form there to send me your name.

I wish you all a happy, flourishing and prosperous 2023. And I surely look forward to seeing many of you at my upcoming signings!

All my best,
Lorna

         Lorna J. Carleton

Hello! I'm Lorna. I thought I'd let you know a bit about me, as the author of a tale I hope you'll love.

I'm a native of British Columbia, Canada, currently a resident of the city of West Kelona. I work as a Safety Advisor for a major utility, and I'm also working toward a university degree.

Though I've  dreamed of being an author since childhood, and made several attempts at novel writing, The Dragons of Nibiru is my first published novel.

I drew inspiration for the book – and the series it begins – from observations of life over the years. Chief among these were clashes among diverse cultures, and the struggles of former cult members to get on with their lives and find happiness.

While continuing the Dragons series, I'm also planning a vacation  to the Pleiades Cluster – providing I can find suitable transport (technological or otherwise).
