Hi All,

Today was a great day for book signing at the Quesnel Books & Company location. Jamie and Sydni, were wonderful and helped to make the day a great success. I met an aspiring young writer, Riley Wyssen, and a great artist, Shaylin. I am looking forward to seeing their work in the future. Riley has a good story she is working on and Shaylin has a portfolio of some great drawings that would look fabulous in a book of fairies.
It was fun to see how many people wanted to just hang around me to chat or to show me what they have written or drawn, and asked me to help them with their writing.  I was even given several hugs by people who bought my book as they enjoyed meeting me so much!

I am thoroughly looking forward to my next book signing in this great little cafe and book store. They have many wonderful books and other things that would make excellent Christmas gifts!

One of my memorable moments from the day was when I was fueling up for gas before the book signing, a man approached me. He asked about the magnet on my car and I told him I was doing a book signing and suggested for him to come over to the store. He did, and we started talking. I found out that he is a plumber but he said he's too old to do it anymore. It turns out that he does a little carving, so I mentioned to him that I needed a wooden wand and asked if he could make me one. He brightened up at the idea!

The second book signing went very well. My name was recognized in the paper by someone I haven't seen since 1972 and she came out to meet me. It was great seeing her again and reconnecting. I can hardly wait to visit her more. We went for coffee after the signing to catch-up. Even not seeing her since she was a child, I knew who it was once I saw her. Kind of cool.

The thing that stood out to me today was that after the book signing, I stopped into Timmy's to get a steeped tea and the girl at the counter thought she knew me. When I told her I was in town to do the book signing, she said that she recognized me from all the posters and newspaper articles about me. Starting to know how celebrities feel.

Hi Lorna, my name is Marie and I work at Kamloops Dodge. I am good friends with Rena and she informed me of your awesome book that you have written. I am interested in buying at least 1 maybe 2 from you as my Dad and brother (maybe even me) love that sort of novel. Could I call you and arrange to buy from you?
Thank you
Marie

Hello! I'm Lorna. I thought I'd let you know a bit about me, as the author of a tale I hope you'll love.

I'm a native of British Columbia, Canada, currently a resident of the city of West Kelona. I work as a Safety Advisor for a major utility, and I'm also working toward a university degree.

Though I've  dreamed of being an author since childhood, and made several attempts at novel writing, The Dragons of Nibiru is my first published novel.

I drew inspiration for the book – and the series it begins – from observations of life over the years. Chief among these were clashes among diverse cultures, and the struggles of former cult members to get on with their lives and find happiness.

While continuing the Dragons series, I'm also planning a vacation  to the Pleiades Cluster – providing I can find suitable transport (technological or otherwise).
