Hi again, everyone!

Such a busy week – and there's more to come!

Yesterday I had a great time tending my table at the Shuswap Women in Business Trade Show in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, in the very pleasant company of quite a few enthusiastic women.

I didn't get a chance to visit many of the other displays, but those I did see surely impressed me with their professionalism and product quality. A good-sized crowd came to see what the local women have to offer the community; it was so good to see such support. I hope all the entrepreneurs present enjoyed a successful evening.

Back at my own display, I had lots of fun talking with visitors about Celine and her friends, and their adventures in The Dragons of Nibiru. Everyone who stopped by was interested to learn about the series; it was invigorating to receive so much support from people I’d never even met! Many bought signed copies, too.

I also gave away free copies of my book of poetry, The Real Vancouver: View from a Cheap Hotel. A dear friend told me I needed to dig out my stored copies and start promoting it; so I did! For some reason, she likes it.

I’d put together a basket of organic foods and put it up on display at the booth, inviting people to leave their names for a give-away drawing. I haven’t done the drawing yet, but I’ll do that soon and post the winner.

Today at 12:45 I'm to appear on the local TV station, CFJC. My first-ever TV appearance. I think I’m more nervous about how my hair will look than about the interview itself. I’m well known for my ability to gab! Nevertheless, I’m nervous. The show will be over by the time you read this, but I’ll post about it soon.

This evening there's another book signing, this time at the Interior Wellness Festival in the local Sahali Mall concourse. I’ll be alongside Maggy Davidson, owner of Spirit Quest Books. Tomorrow from 1:00 to 3:00 is a book signing back home in Kamloops, at the Chapters/Indigo store.

So, it’s been a busy week indeed. Hard to believe my first signing was only a week ago, with Jamie and Sydni at the Books & Company in Quesnel. And so many more to come – amazing.

That's all for the moment.

Have a great day, everyone!

Lorna

         Lorna J. Carleton

Hello! I'm Lorna. I thought I'd let you know a bit about me, as the author of a tale I hope you'll love.

I'm a native of British Columbia, Canada, currently a resident of the city of West Kelona. I work as a Safety Advisor for a major utility, and I'm also working toward a university degree.

Though I've  dreamed of being an author since childhood, and made several attempts at novel writing, The Dragons of Nibiru is my first published novel.

I drew inspiration for the book – and the series it begins – from observations of life over the years. Chief among these were clashes among diverse cultures, and the struggles of former cult members to get on with their lives and find happiness.

While continuing the Dragons series, I'm also planning a vacation  to the Pleiades Cluster – providing I can find suitable transport (technological or otherwise).
